Mold spores

Many homeowners don’t know that their houses can have hidden mold growth, which serves as allergen for many individuals. Molds spread inside a house with high moisture level or after a recent environmental event like floods by releasing spores. Spores will cause increased mold growth if they happened set ground on damp areas and reproduce. Spores are the primary hidden allergens that people should watch out for inside their house. If they frequently experience allergic reactions like sneezing, difficult breathing, stuffy nose, and even asthma attacks even without visible dust, it would be best to have the house checked for potential mold contamination.

Pet dander

Having a pet at home can make people happy. However, they can also cause problems if the house is not properly maintained as they release dander, which are also hidden allergy triggers for some people. Dander is a term that describes the microscopic flakes or scales coming from animals. A house may be spotless clean, after cleaning their hairs or other wastes, but dander still remains at home if homeowners will not take appropriate cleaning procedures to fix the problem.

Drugs

Some people tend to take OTC medications without properly checking on its components. They are considered hidden allergens as some people will just experience allergic reactions to it if they forgot to check its components. Other individuals, however, will discover that they become allergic to a specific medication component even if they took it before.
