Some people can be fine until they hit their early twenties and then start to feel the symptoms. This is especially truthful to those who have a family member who has an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorders affect more than 19 million American adults.

Treatments include medications such as anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs and therapy. There are many different types of these prescription drugs on the market today that will help people with their anxiety disorder. The patient will have to tell the doctor all of their symptoms so they can prescribe the right medication. The doctor may try several different medications before finding the right one for the patient. A combination of therapy and medications will help relieve the symptoms of anxiety disorders.
